About CONTEC
Established in 2015, CONTEC is the first-generation space startup in South Korea, providing a total service that penetrates the entire value chain required for the space industry, including satellite control, reception, processing, and analysis of satellite images, by installing space ground stations at major locations worldwide.
With ground stations in 9 countries and 10 locations (with plans to build 15 by '24), Kontek operates GSaaS (Ground Station as a Service) network solutions and enhances services through satellite data processing technology. In 2024, it was listed on the KOSDAQ market.
In particular, CONTEC's GsaaS network solution provides reception of over thousands of satellite data on a monthly basis to global customers who own satellites. ASP (Asian Space Park), which is being developed in Sangdae-ri, Hanlim-eup, Jeju City, with an area of 17,546㎡, is the largest private space ground station complex in Korea, including two of CONTEC's own ground station antennas and a total of 12 antennas for low-earth orbit satellites, including 10 antennas requested by overseas space companies such as KSAT (Norway) and RBC (USA), aiming to provide ground station services to overseas satellite-holding companies, presenting a new business model to create a healthy ecosystem for South Korea's private space industry.
